Message When I prepped my 2+2 for sale, I was taking off mods and either swapping them over to the TT or selling them and reinstalling stock.

I've parted wrecked cars that I bought w. the intention of taking apart - this is emotionally easier since I don't have the previous labor "investment" but I still get all the same hassles that you mentioned w. dead beats, low ballers or simply people that want you to sell them 1 piece out of something that is worth more as a set...

The hardest part out to date was Adam's '94 TT - much of the parts transplanted to his current 'Vert however taking a sawz-all to the front end of a car to extract the motor that you've spent years working on is no fun.

As for dumping the chassis look in your local yellow pages for wrecker services and call around - someone will be willing to take it away for scrap $.
